3. Role Guidance

General Users

Use Dashboard, Support, and Docs for day-to-day activity. Follow assigned workflows and coordinate with your assessment lead when task ownership is unclear.

Viewers

Use read-only pages to monitor assessment progress, evidence status, and reports. Viewers should not modify responses or upload artifacts.

Assessors

Create and evaluate assessments, review control responses, and document findings. Use report views to identify gaps and track remediation priority.

ISSO / ISSM

Maintain control narratives, manage evidence quality, and coordinate readiness for assessment submission milestones.

4. Step-by-Step Workflows

Create Assessment

  1. Open New Assessment from the main navigation.
  2. Enter title, organization, and CIA impact levels.
  3. Select required overlays and provide required justifications.
  4. Submit the form to create the assessment record.
  5. Open the new assessment and begin control response assignment.

Upload Artifact

  1. Open the target assessment and select a control.
  2. Choose Upload Artifact in the control workspace.
  3. Select the file and confirm metadata fields if prompted.
  4. Save the upload and verify the artifact appears in the control evidence list.
  5. Confirm extracted text or evidence status before leaving the control.

Submit Partial Assessment

  1. Open the assessment and review draft vs submitted control counts.
  2. Complete required responses and attach supporting artifacts for selected controls.
  3. Use Save Draft for unfinished controls to preserve progress.
  4. Submit completed controls as a partial package.
  5. Review the updated progress indicators and report status after submission.
